473 HA of prime dairy farm situated off the N6 towards Stutterheim (approx. 15 km’s from Beacon Bay).

The property is a commercial farming unit and is used as a dairy farm & lands have been established and improvements have been purpose built for this business activity.

The property has 2 homesteads:

1st consisting of open plan lounge, dining room, tv room, kitchen, scullery, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, study, undercover braai area, sparkling pool, 2 reservoirs and a double garage.

2nd consisting of open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen, laundry, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, gazebo and single garage.

Outbuidings consist of :

Shed 1 – Large steel portal frame double volume shed with IBR cladded walls under a pitched roof which is used for storage purposes.

Shed 2 – Large shed consisting of a steel portal frame with corrugated iron cladded walls under mono-pitched corrugated iron roof. Also used for storage purposes.

Outbuilding 1 – Brick building under pitched IBR roof, the front portion being used as the milk processing plant (housing 3 bulk tanks) and the rear being used as a office.

Milking Shed – Steel open plan milking parlour. The milking parlour is used for the milking of the cows using a 20 point swing over system.

The entire farm including the homesteads and camps are fenced with standard 1.5 m high cattle fencing. All the improvements are on one portion , the improvements, dams and roads measure approx. 20 HA.

There are staff quarters for those staff who are resident on the property.

Camps – The remaining land consists of cordoned off camps under permanent irrigation (approx. 60 HA divided into 60 camps with overhead and permanent irrigation).

The carrying capacity is approx. 350 head of cattle. Natural grazing comprises of approx. 404 HA.

Vegetation – the irrigated land has kikhuyu mixed with rye grass planted thereon. The dry land has a mixture of rye grass, rhodes grass, sweet veld and veld.

Dams – there is a large feeder dam linked directly to the Nahoon Dam. There are 3 minor dams feeding off the main dam. The main dam also has sprinklers on all of the camps. There are a total of 15 dams spread throughout the property.

Water Source – There is 1 surface water pump and 3 submersible water pumps used to pump water from the Nahoon River. There are 2 water extraction rights in place under the Mzimvubu-Keiskamma water scheme.

Electricity is supplied by Eskom and under ground septic tanks are in place for sewerage disposal.

Implements (as per inventory) are included as well as approx. 400 head of jersey herd.

In addition, there are 3 cycle tracks running over the natural grazing part of the farm. There is a 2.8 km track, 8.25 km track and a 15.6 km track (all on natural terrain). There are improvements added which include a huge wooden deck, ablution facility and route layout building, apart from the braai areas and parking.
